ABOUT NHS CHOIRS
Welcome! The Niwot High School Choir Department serves approximately 150 students who share a love for singing. We continually strive for musical excellence and work diligently to provide valuable musical opportunities for all interested students. Our course offerings range from non-auditioned to advanced groups, and are inclusive of students who bring varying levels of experience and ability to the classroom. Additionally, we offer a variety of extra-curricular opportunities for students including Saint Vrain Valley Honor Choir, All State Choir, the annual musical, the annual musical revue, and participation in after school choirs.
Treble Choir
(Gr: 9-12 treble voices).
Sopranos & Altos, begin your high school singing experience here! This course is designed to give students the opportunity to develop the voice through exposure to various styles of music. This is a performance-oriented experience and requires attendance at approximately four evening programs per year.
No audition required.
Fee: Approximately $75 for concert attire.

Tenor/Bass Choir
(Gr: 9-12 bass voices).
Begin your high school singing experience here! No audition is required. This course is designed for 9 – 12th grade changed voices who are interested in the choral singing. Tenor/Bass Choir will give students an opportunity to develop the voice through the exposure to various styles of music. This is a performance-oriented experience and requires attendance at approximately four evening programs per year.

This course gives experienced treble singers an opportunity to further develop the voice through the performance of various styles of music. This curriculum emphasizes stylistic performance of difficult choral literature from all historic periods. Sedalia is a performance-oriented learning experience and includes four-eight evening programs annually, as well as occasional community events and music festivals. From Bach to rock, Chamber Singers is an exciting way to further your musical talents! This course gives the advanced treble and changed voice singers an opportunity to develop ensemble skills through exposure to various styles of music. Classical choral literature from various time periods and geographic regions will be studied. Chamber Singers is a performance-oriented learning experience and includes four-eight evening programs annually, as well as occasional community events and music festivals. Students selected for this course will learn about more about the musical theatre genre through focus on audition techniques, audition songs, monologues, and basic acting. The class will perform a musical revue during the semester. Most rehearsals will take place during the school day. Please email Mrs. Walters or to set up an audition ([email protected]).
